Special Releases

Periodically, "special" Spellfire cards are made that are not part of the standard online boosters. These cards are made for specific purposes and given out in card form (sticker image on old card backs). Each of these unique cards have limited availability and their legality in tournament play varies.

Special Cards

Card Name: Go For the Walkies!! [Event]
Expansion/No.: Ogre Special #1
Text: This player may search all player's draw piles of players who have any card with a Triumvirate (Council) member in play or in the discard, then select any 2 champions of level 3 to send on a picnic in the void.
Availability: Creator's Discretion
Legality: Only when specifically permitted

Card Name: Rolled Newspaper [Rule]
Expansion/No.: Ogre Special #2
Text: Play at the beginning of this player's turn, this card is not discarded. It affects all players and remains in effect until another rule card is played. While this rule card is in play, all champions that perform any action against any realm owned by a player that is an OGre or has one in their pool get whacked and sent to limbo for 1d4 turns (2d4 if that player is Hayden, Rittel or Atkinson).

Promo Cards

Beginning with the Chaos expansion, each online booster will have one or more special GenCon promotional cards. These cards are printed up and given out in card form at the Spellfire World Championship weekend (GenCon). These cards are permitted for play in their associated World Championship tournaments, but must be specifically allowed for play in other sanctioned tournaments.

Card Name: Let Slip the Dogs of War! [Event]
Expansion/No.: GenCon '03 Special
Text: When this Event is played all players place their card hands on the table and shift seats one place right or left (event player's choice) and play resume with cards found at that seat. Immune to Calm, Delsonora, and Dragon Calm.
Availability: GenCon '03 and Creator's Discretion
